Magic Mirror Glasgow Photobooth
Want to add that extra bit of fun to your wedding day? I met Kerry at Magic Mirror Glasgow who runs the photobooth company alongside her business partner and friend Stacey. She showed me how the mirror works and I had the chance to get to know her and Stacey a bit better. As is the running theme across my Wedding Vendor Blogs, I asked some faq's about her business and the booking process and got to know more about what hiring a Magic Mirror for your big day entails!
The Magic Mirror awaiting its guests
About Magic Mirror Glasgow
I met Kerry initially whilst doing a photoshoot for her and her lovely family, I immediately loved her energy. She was so bubbly and chatty and it really does make perfect sense that she runs a business in the market of making people smile! What a joy when I discovered Kerry herself was a lover of photography and had in fact been a photographer. When I discovered she ran the Magic Mirror Glasgow alongside Stacey, I just had to include the business in my blog! So of course I contacted her and thankfully they agreed to let me get some insider info on all things photobooth!
I started off finding out a bit more about the ladies and how they got into the 'Magic Mirror' business.
- How did you get into business together?
'We have have actually been friends for over 20 years. As you know, I'm a keen photographer (Kerry) and love all things photography, So one evening we were sitting chatting about potential business ideas and came across the idea of the Magic Mirror. We actually drove 7 hours to Norwich to purchase the Magic Mirror and we set up business from there! Its an easy partnership as we are so close'
- What is life like outside of running your business together?
Stacey - 'I'm a team leader in a nursery, when I'm not working or working on the business, I usually spend my spare time reading a book or bingeing on a good Netflix series!'
Kerry - ' Life can be really busy, I'm a mum to two beautiful girls as well as working in the office of a primary school and nursery. I love going out and exploring new places and going on walks so if I do get much spare time outside the usual craziness, that's what I'm doing'
Kerry and team on location
After finding out a bit about the two ladies themselves, I got into the nitty gritty and asked all the questions my couples might want to know when considering booking a photobooth with Magic Mirror Glasgow.
- Where are you based?
'We both live in Kilsyth and so cover the Central Belt of Scotland. Living between Glasgow and Edinburgh is the perfect location for travelling to all the stunning venues we have here in Scotland.
- How does the Magic Mirror work ?
' It uses the most up to date touch screen technology with a mirrored front so you can see your poses! It counts you down from 5 seconds and takes your photograph 3 times, which then prints out in under 1 minute. It uses a professional Canon camera to capture your pictures and is super simple to use. We man the booth at all times too, so all you have to worry about is choosing your props and striking those poses!'
- Are the printed pictures included?
'Yes! So each time a guest uses the booth, it prints out 2 copies of the photos - 1 goes in a guest book to leave a message for the Bride and Groom and 1 is your guests to keep! During the duration of the hire it is unlimited prints so the Magic Mirror can be used again and again!'
- What does it cost?
'Our packages are simple and we offer a couple. As we said, all packages have unlimited prints and cost £250 for 2 hours or £350 for 3 hours'
- Is there a deposit needed to secure the booking?
'We ask for a £100 deposit to secure your date then the remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your wedding'
- How do people get in touch to book?
You can find us on Facebook - Kerrys Collection Magic Mirror Photo Booth. On Instagram - @magicmirrorglasgow or you can contact us via email kcp_magicmirrorphotobooth@outlook.com'
- Is hire only for weddings?
Definetely not! We cater for all events and have covered birthday parties, christenings, hen and stag parties and corporate events! It's never not a great addition to any party!'
